Why not add an anti-inflammatory & immunity boosting drink to your daily routine? It's a fantastic way to boost your health, and so easy to make at home. The secret? A creamy concoction of turmeric, ginger, JOI, manuka honey and some lemon or ACV. Blend and shoot it for a jolt of goodness to your body.
Why These Ingredients? Anti-Inflammatory & Immunity Boosters!
Turmeric
You know what's trending? Turmeric! That's because contains this awesome compound called curcumin, which is a superhero against inflammation. Studies have shown that curcumin can actually help reduce the production of those pesky inflammatory molecules in your body. So, if you're dealing with inflammation-related issues, turmeric has got your back!
Ginger
And let's not forget about ginger. This spicy root is like a mini fire extinguisher for inflammation. It's loaded with gingerols and shogaols, which work their magic to ease pain and swelling. So, if you're feeling a bit inflamed, a ginger-infused drink might be just what you need to put out the fire!
Team Lemon vs. Team Apple Cider Vinegar?
Now, let's talk about lemons and apple cider vinegar.
Lemons are like little bundles of sunshine that can brighten up your health. They're packed with vitamin C, which is an antioxidant powerhouse. Not only does it give your immune system a boost, but vitamin C also helps fight inflammation.
And when it comes to apple cider vinegar, it's a real MVP. The acetic acid in it has been linked to reducing inflammation and promoting a healthy gut. Plus, both lemons and apple cider vinegar have alkalizing properties that help balance your body's pH levels, keeping inflammation in check. So, by sipping on a drink with these ingredients, you're giving your body a refreshing and flavorful way to kick inflammation to the curb!
Can't decide which to use? Why not include both, or just alternate each time you make this yellow tonic?
JOI
We're loving JOI almond, cashew or hemp for an extra kick of health in this booster. Hemp is a great source of plant protein and healthy omega fatty acids. Almond contains protein, healthy fats, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. Cashew is also a powerhouse: antioxidant (protect against disease); contains minerals such as copper and magnesium; zinc and selenium (which also support the immune system); B vitamins; protein and fiber.
Manuka Honey
If you're feeling under the weather, manuka honey may help. It can ease a sore throat or relieve stomach issues. Added to this recipe, it brings together all the creamy, acid spicyness with a bit of sweet!
Let's Do This!
Headed to the airport for a flight? Feeling under the weather? Or does it seem like everyone around you is sick and you want to be in tip top shape to fight off what's "going around"?

I have the same question as Sue – is the JOI straight from the jar or already mixed with water? The photo makes it look like it’s already mixed with water – but that should be more clear in the directions!
When the recipe calls for 1/2 c of joi, does that mean straight from the jar or 1/2c already mixed with water?
